The Perinatal Society of New Zealand is for any Health Professional or Scientist aiming for the best care of the fetus/newborn

From the President:

Tēnā koutou,

I am very privileged and grateful to be appointed as the President of the Perinatal Society of New Zealand. As a specialist neonatal dietitian and researcher, I am passionate about the health outcomes of mothers, babies and their whānau.

I want to thank the outgoing Wellington executive for their dedication to the Perinatal Society over their term in the face of an extremely challenging few years. The past two years have obviously been disappointing, with all their hard work to bring members together at the Annual Scientific Meeting unable to be realised. However, their commitment has not gone unnoticed and is very much appreciated.

I am excited to be a part of a diverse executive committee that encompasses the essence of the Perinatal Society to encourage multi-disciplinary collaboration and dedication to the advances of Perinatology in Aotearoa, New Zealand. I am confident that the new executive will work to serve the Perinatal Society and all its members well.

A reminder to please renew your memberships and encourage new members to join to ensure the society can function to the best of its ability. We do need all of your support:

Ngā mihi nui

Tanith Alexander
