Margaret has been with Cancer Society as a counsellor and facilitator for 4 years before becoming Supportive Care Manager. She is a trained counsellor, has a Post Grad Cert in Health Science and Certificate in Supervision. She has been on the faculty of Skylight, facilitator & trainer of the bereaved by suicide ‘WAVES’ programme.
She facilitates workshops on: grief, loss, transitions, how to work with or support people in difficult times, communication and survivorship. Margaret worked as a Manager of Family Support for Child Cancer Foundation, and as a Family Services Coordinator for over 12 years. She is passionate about walking alongside people.
Margaret is enjoying her role as Manager of Supportive Care, which covers the Wellington Division (Kāpiti, Wairarapa, Marlborough and Nelson). She gets to work with volunteers, staff and the community to make a difference and enhance the resources that are available to people through Cancer Society
